Solitude
About This Work
Original oil painting on a 1-1/2in gallery wrapped canvas with no frame. The recurring back-facing figure suggests introspection and guardedness; the body is present, yet the face is often turned away or partially obscured. This creates a productive ambiguity: the viewer is invited to witness the figure, but not to fully possess her narrative.
